LED stands for light emitting diodes. LedLights are very energy efficient and also last a long time. LED downlights are a relatively new innovation but one that can save you significant amounts of money on your lighting bill. In fact, LED downlights can last up to 50 times as long as a standard halogen downLights, while using only 10 percent of the energy used by halogen downlights.
Solar lights has been a pretty challenging topic with the guy. He tells us that the lights are not that bright, but we understand that, we require lighting to see stuff, not for reading etc, as we would just use downlights or fluro. Plus the new power pricing will save us money in the future.
Has anyone been using downlights and/or fluro lights and/or solar, and noticed the power consumption low, but adequate for "good" lighting - nothing to bright that we will need to squint to look where we walk.
