The NEW 5w Zeon LED downLights is a perfect halogen replacement. This mid-range LED downlight can provide enough light to light any room when used in conjunction with other efficient downlights. The Zeon LED down light uses 10% of the energy (and heat output) of a standard halogen globe. These globes provide light similar to a 20W halogen globe. The Zeon is a mid range LED Downlight, it is brighter than the Luxeon but not as bright as the Galaxy downlight which is the most powerful LED replacement.
The 5W Warm Zeon LED down light is designed to be a socket drop-in replacement for the traditional MR16 Halogen lamps. It has very similar dimensions to a standard MR16 Halogen downlight and can be used in most conventional applications.

Whereas when considering halogen lights these in general will only go for around 1,000 hours before they have to be replaced. So of course you will need to buy 25 halogen bulbs against just one LED bulb.
